How-to
Starting Workflow for Image Layers
Step 1
Use the plus menu and choose Image Layer.
Step 2
Select an image in the file picker, or use Change Image from the layer context menu later.
Step 3
Expand the row and use Load when you need to replace the file.
Step 4
Use Mode, Levels, Hue, Sat, and Light to shape the image before adding broader effects.
Step 5
Use X Pos, Y Pos, and Scale to place the image in the frame.

Image Layer controls

| Load | Chooses or replaces the still image file used by the layer. |
| Mode | Switches image treatment between Color, Grayscale, and Black & White. |
| Levels | Reduces or restores image color levels for posterized or full-range looks. |
| Hue | Rotates image hue in degrees. |
| Sat | Controls image saturation from desaturated to boosted color. |
| Light | Darkens or brightens the still image. |
| X Pos and Y Pos | Moves the image horizontally or vertically in the frame. |

Practice
Usage tips
Use Image Layers for static artwork that should stay independent from the video source.
Lock a control before using dice when that value is already working.
Assign modulators to X Pos, Y Pos, Scale, or color controls when a still image should become a moving performance element.
