Chromatic Aberration

Chromatic Aberration separates color channels for lens fringing, prismatic offsets, and radial color drift.

How-to

Starting Workflow for Chromatic Aberration Effect

  1. Step 1

Set Offset first to establish how far channels separate.

  2. Step 2

Use Angle for directional drifts or Radial for center-out distortion.

  3. Step 3

Add Falloff and Refract when the effect should respond more to edges and highlights.

OffsetDistance between separated color channels
AngleDirection of the channel separation
FalloffPushes stronger aberration toward image edges
RefractBends channels around bright image detail
RadialChanges separation from linear drift to radial spread
